Pros
Reasonable base pay so maybe you don't starve due to a bad week. Benefits are fairly decent for such a small organization.
Cons
Make no mistake, this is performances based...expectation is 2 to 3 sales per week. In the six months that I was there, the majority of the reps I witnessed did not meet expectations. In my short time there I saw two managers and more than a dozen new hires leave or be cut due to performance.
The greatest atrocity, in my mind, was a struggling rep happened to outperform everybody in a week when a special incentive was running. That rep was told a valuable prize would be would be awarded to them at an upcoming corporate meeting. That meeting got postponed by a month due to very inclement weather and the rep was subsequently cut due to poor performance but was never awarded the promised prize. It was no more the rep's fault for the bad weather than it was the company's. The rep met the conditions of the contest while still employed and should have been awarded the prize. To me, this speaks volumes about the integrity of the company.
I also question if the product is one that its time is quickly passing and has seen its best days.
