Pros

For someone in the right moment in their career, this could be an awesome job. The bar is so low on performance and work quality that you can basically try anything you'd like without any fear or pressure of messing up. Management is so out of date and inexperienced with best practices that as long as you can handle getting through meetings without laughing and just nodding your head, the whole job is a breeze. It's openly talked about that you're paid full time for less than part time work. Work load is amazing. Days off constantly.

Cons

Management is totally brain dead. Even though that makes work really easy, can be super tough to deal with when you actually need something done or adhered to. Most of my peers who have left, that's the balancing point for they're dealing with. How long can you handle how asinine the situation is they are with how chill the work load is. Turn over is rapid due to this. People who've been there for a long time are really strung out. That's hard to deal with. Random outbursts in meetings about how messed up everything is. There's some real pain and toxicity for people who still believe in the mission versus management who's still trying to milk this amazing unicorn (of just endless nonprofit funds for little to zero productivity). One of the most toxic work environments I've ever been in. Some days you feel like your head's going to fall off with their insanity, the next day you have off.

Pros

Overall, Roadtrip is a super fun and relaxed environment to work in. People are great there and make the company worth staying at. For the industry, the pay and benefits are decent. Relatively low-pressure work expectations. There is a solid "get s**t done" value here which often translates to rushed or not thoroughly thought-through work, but as long as it meets the deadline and looks presentable that seems to be fine for execs.

Cons

Upper management and execs are completely rudderless. There have been attempts at creating strategic "vision" and goals, but they often get arbitrarily changed when a new exciting opportunity pops up with a large paycheck attached to it. This then completely side tracks teams to execute on it and derails most planned work leaving much to be desired in terms of long-term stability. If you need a more structured work environment with measurable outcomes, then this isn't the place for you. You need to be ok getting constantly distracted and working on projects that don't often amount to much. Pay is decent but not very competitive when compared to the market. There's also a lot of favoritism and "legacy" employees here which causes some internal friction when trying to navigate hierarchies, pay equity, etc.
