Pros
For someone in the right moment in their career, this could be an awesome job. The bar is so low on performance and work quality that you can basically try anything you'd like without any fear or pressure of messing up. Management is so out of date and inexperienced with best practices that as long as you can handle getting through meetings without laughing and just nodding your head, the whole job is a breeze. It's openly talked about that you're paid full time for less than part time work. Work load is amazing. Days off constantly.
Cons
Management is totally brain dead. Even though that makes work really easy, can be super tough to deal with when you actually need something done or adhered to. Most of my peers who have left, that's the balancing point for they're dealing with. How long can you handle how asinine the situation is they are with how chill the work load is. Turn over is rapid due to this. People who've been there for a long time are really strung out. That's hard to deal with. Random outbursts in meetings about how messed up everything is. There's some real pain and toxicity for people who still believe in the mission versus management who's still trying to milk this amazing unicorn (of just endless nonprofit funds for little to zero productivity). One of the most toxic work environments I've ever been in. Some days you feel like your head's going to fall off with their insanity, the next day you have off.
