Pros
- Good pay for someone young and still in school - They partially listened to my hours and gave me them outside of school times - was during COVID so got furlough pay
Cons
- Scheduled shifts so that I would work over 12 hours a weekend (i was scheduled to work 8/week) but had no break on the days I did work e.g., 4 hours on a Friday, 4 hours on a Saturday and 4 on a Sunday while others my age worked less and got more breaks - 20 minute breaks were given if you worked 4.5 hour shifts. - Only gave advice and help to specific people - often as a new starter I made mistakes and they would give me attitude when they had to correct them (but no advice for next time) - left to stand at the door for the entirety of my shift during the middle of December to count the footfall in and out of store with no break - During peak times, got annoyed when I couldn't work specific days because of being at school - was not offered any career advice or how to go further within the company - Management was very distant and would not be seen for the entirety of some shifts - even if you needed to see them.
