Pros

1. It used to be super nice and employee centric under the older leadership when core was "People" in Rise people. 2. They have good and friendly employees.

Cons

1. There are many problems caused due to the new leadership who are under promising in both sales and company culture. They have closed their doors to employees except for few favourites. They think it's their right to fire anyone at any time without remembering why they actually hired them in first place. 2. Software seems to be going in maintenance mode so new employees should avoid risking their career with this company because their is no innovation except a old buggy product. 3. They have lost their soul of a startup, and trying to be elon musk by hiring and firing people for save few bucks even though their platform needs a lot of work. 4. Favouritism is in place, all good managers either have left or removed just because they do good work silently and team is centred to those who are favourite to COO but what all these favourite people create is a big lie and tech debt. 5. They have lost the backbone and isn't a tech company. All good things like engineering townhalls are treated as leadership ultimatum forums.

Pros

I have an awesome manager who takes care of my team and makes sure we don't get pulled in to the senior management drama My hours are pretty flexible which is good - I don't have a firm start/finish time every day

Cons

There is a lot of uncertainty and drama going on here for a 40 person company. The pay is pretty low compared to other startups in vancouver. Senior management seem very worried about their public image but they aren't really doing anything to fix the issues me and my colleagues talked about during the recent employee surveys. I guess you just have to hope you have a good direct manager who can try to protect you from it all, but also managers don't seem to last very long here. Kinda sucked to be bribed with a water bottle to leave a glassdoor review
