Pros
what I like is the customers happy face, the compliments, and the friendliness with co-workers. The pharmacy manager is the best so far, he's understanding, flexible and tries he best to accommodate everyone. I have bee with the company 22 years and it keep improving. We're not perfect but we're trying.
Cons
all jobs have some negative ide. We are open longer hours and no extra staff to cover both shift. We are unionize which sometime is not the best. We can't ask for pay raise or incentive bonus. We are lock or cap in the grid so once you top it in like five years that's it. no more raise. Rexall is a corporate store, they don't know us and vice versa. Head office which determine what we do is in Toronto and the big boss ( owner) in Alberta, it's a bit different here up north. Customers are use to old folk remedy like syrup Lambert for cough and cold and other meds that we have to special order not in the planogram. And some other we carry that don't sell ( because there's less immigrants). We only have 2 or 3 items of same kind on shelve so we run out often or is it the store manager not ordering enough??? No inform meeting anymore???
