Pros
I can't overstate how helpful it is that Revive not only allows employees to work from home but also allows that work to be conducted with minimal intervention. I loved my coworkers for the most part, the culture is pleasant. We took a couple of trips to LA and NOLA for in-person retreats, and these were top-notch.
Cons
Revive has issues in the HR department. Their hiring and firing practices are extremely biased and poorly planned/executed. People who've given the company a year or more of dutiful service are fired suddenly with no warning, and they're cut off from company communications software as if they committed a white-collar crime. Often the reason given for these terminations will be nonexistent or related to finances, which makes no sense given the positive cash flow we've been led to believe Revive is experiencing over the last few years. After speaking to other people who've been terminated, it became clear that they use this excuse to let go of people who ask too many questions and call leadership to task for their transgressions. During my tenure, there was a noticeable absence of certain minority groups despite the total workforce reaching 50+ people. For example, there was not a single Black woman in the entire company. The bias is towards the LA-based friend group of the CEO, who is agreeable and pleasant on the surface but in reality has a cold and detached attitude towards SOME of his employees.
