Pros
Good suburban location, nice office. In-house staff is nice.
Cons
The two owners have no concept of talent acquisition and the hurdles that come with attracting quality talent for niche positions. They are away on travel and do not fully see on a regular basis the challenges that marketing and HR have on a regular basis. They also lack the ability to set an example that helps unite the various teams that exist within the company. They seem to have an inferior attitude towards women and minorities (even though they are immigrants themselves) and will not trust a soul to make complex decisions or initiate process changes. There is this toxicity in the air when they are around. You never know who they'll be upset with or snarky with on any given day. Our Resource Manager was forced to give up a planned vacation because the owners bit off more than they could chew and the staffing need could not be met. The HR Manager/Attorney is passionate about promoting values and ideas in the organization, but they fall on the deaf ears of senior management. I'm convinced when they started this company all they wanted was people to do their grunt work, not caring about their emotional or professional well-being.
