Pros

You will be working with some very smart and hard working people. There is a lot of ethnic diversity. Snacks, office bar, and office dogs. Free lunch, if you're ok with it not being super healthy. You can say you work at one of LA's hottest startups.

Cons

Lots of distractions in an open work environment, 3+ office dogs at any given time so definitely not a place for people with allergies or germaphobes. Management is temperamental and micro-managing. Be prepared for a lot of "negging" during interview and 1:1s such as, "you have the skills but maybe you need to prove your personality/passion" "you still have a long ways to go" etc., and be prepared to take a salary on the lower side of the spectrum. The team is very young, a lot of the more experienced people have left. Smart people have to shoulder extra work. Everyone else coasts by on pure enthusiasm and good attitudes. There is limited budget/resources. Expect to take extra time cobbling and hacking your way through projects.

Pros

Words that come to mind: Love. Collaboration. Respect. Humility. Family. Patience. Ambition. Hustle. Authenticity. You feel as though you're on the threshold, ushering in a new future for a channel that has remained stagnant for far too long. Everyone is heard. Everyone contributes. Everyone supports each other in success and failure. Management is so busy, but despite this, takes the time to support and encourage their teams. You feel ownership over your role, you feel enabled. You have the freedom to try things and see what happens. You can see your understanding, skills and capabilities growing as the company grows. These things far outweigh the standard measures of what makes a company great to work for. -Yes, there are snacks and a great coffee subscription service. -Yes, there are dogs that keep you company on those longer projects. -Yes, there are beers served after work occasionally. -Yes, there are cool BBQ's and hiking outings and hackathons and basketball games every Thursday. -Yes, there is free catered lunch 2 days a week. -Yes, you get a work computer. -Yes, you're within walking distance to some great cafe and restaurants and food trucks

Cons

-No 401k (Yet) -Need more couches to work from (super comfy!)
