Results and Impact Oriented Organization! - Membership Outreach Associate Rescuing Leftover Cuisine Employee Review

Pros

The first thing I will mention is, if you love taking initiative, apply here! The person who will thrive here, is a person who is: resourceful, curious, motivated, driven, passionate, works well with others, creative, optimistic, loves creating and building relationships, loves and cares about the cause (because RLC really does care about making a difference), vocal, outgoing, imaginative, and organized. There is a lot of flexibility, a lot of trust, a caring and hardworking team of employees, an opulence of networking opportunities (almost everyone in NYC is connected to this organization through volunteering or donating funds), fun events, and so much more.

Cons

RLC has very high expectations for its employees, but that's normal for a lot of organizations. In fact, those high expectations will help you grow because you learn what you're good at and what you're lacking in.

Pros

Having weekly collaborative meetings with my manager was what I looked forward to, and the overall culture of RLC was very friendly and casual (yet professional at the same time), 10/10 would recommend my friends who are looking for digital marketing experience to add to their resume.

Cons

Having to juggle responsibilities outside of the internship had its challenges at times, but fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and understanding of my situation and I consider my manager a great person who listened to my concerns and new ideas and actually made the internship experience valuable for me.

Pros

The people are all very talented and dedicated. You have some creative freedom when it comes to campaigns and outreach

Cons

There is not much guidance besides from the team leader, who wears quite a lot of hats. Be prepared to fly solo and take initiative
