1. You get to be treated like trash by the company you work for, scheduling, your base supervisor, passengers, pilots, gate agents, and catering. 2. Benefits— bottom of the barrel on health, dental, and vision, flight benefits are trash. You’re planning to non-rev —Delta guess what … former DGS (contracted gate and aircraft appearance agents in out stations) employees WHO DO NOT EVEN WORK FOR AN AIRLINE get on before you. —United .. you’re going to get screwed over by a mainline employee with a vacation pass. Don’t even try to list more that 59 minutes ahead of boarding. —American, is somehow the best to nonrev on. 3. Snitches don’t get stitches here. They get a promotion. That’s right, this company rewards employees who turn on other employees. In a job where you need to trust the people working around you, this company is filled with snitches who are proud to ruin other people’s lives and careers. 4. There hasn’t been a new FA contract since 2013, so if you take a position here understand you’ll be paid in accordance with the 2013 economy, labor laws, and FAA mandates. 5. Be prepared to be at a company that does not allow you to have your own personality or personal life outside of the airline. —You have a social media account? No you don’t … they fire people for that. —You like to tiktok about fun things that happened on your layovers.. WHEN YOU ARENT ON DUTY? No you don’t they will fire you for that. —Enjoy the occasional wine with dinner? No you don’t that is a sin and not in line with republics religious “guiding principles” . You’re a sinner you’re fired… infact, let’s touch further on that. Flight attendants have been FIRED for making the hard decision of ending a pregnancy, because the CEO disagrees with it, they are “disgusting sinners”. 6. Speaking of their “guiding principles”.. they spell out an acronym of “BEST”, but they clearly aren’t the best in many areas, including the areas covers by this company motto. B: be good stewards of our resources - the company sees employees as only a resource that can be exhausted. Is wasteful of resources that our planet needs. E: encourage a culture of fun and action - if fun for you is working at a TOXIC company, being assaulted by passengers and having your employer do NOTHING to help you. Work here. The only action (charity) they encourage is ones to give them a tax cut. Or push Christianity conversion in third world countries. S: strive for excellence in everything we do. - if they include pushing their flight attendant team to the point of struggling with mental health and multiple crew members battling suicide and depression currently. They are excelling nicely. T: Trust, respect, and care for one another. - remember what I said about snitches… you can not trust majority of the employees you work with, certainly not management, many of the recently hired employees are not worthy of respect based on their character and work ethic, and caring for one another is few and far between. 7. Company provided training: When I went through training several years ago, we started with a class of nearly 80 new hires, 30 graduated. Now, you have classes of 80 graduating without losing anyone. You’d think we have an awesome recruiting team/ training dept until you work with anyone hired in 2021 on the line. No one hired this year knows what they are doing, from security of the cockpit to smoking on aircraft inflight; I am legitimately afraid to come to work with junior flight crews lately— if there is an emergency, only one person on that plane will be capable of evacuating survivors. Repeatedly, junior flight attendants have walked off planes leaving one crew member on board to handle an emergency should one arise. When sitting in your jump seat you should be alert of your surroundings, majority of the flight attendants and pilots at republic airways are probably texting on their phones, after just telling passengers to turn theirs off, violating FARs
