      Pros

      It can be very flexible once you know how to bid correctly Even on reserve you get what you bid for (within reason) Decent start pay for a regional.

      Cons

      Kiss your 9-5 life goodbye. If you are unlucky to get an expensive base straight out of training / have to commute, prepare for the sleepless nights/ crew room rests. Honestly the first 6 months to a year are the most difficult time and prime tume for quitting.

      Pros

      Travel benefits on American, United, Delta, jumpseat agreements with other carriers and ID travel on most other airlines including international carriers. Great starting experience and introduction to working in aviation.

      Cons

      Will hire just about anyone, were hiring by video interviews alone at one time, so quality of people varied. Notorious for base closures, got displaced at least 5 times due to base closures. All bases in Midwest and northeast. In the past most bases were in outstations and noncommutable. Low pay.
