Pros

Pros Remote & Perks: Fully remote, supplied equipment, and company outings. Workload: High-level responsibility with end-to-end project management for small, fast-paced teams.

Cons

Cons Discriminatory Culture: There is a deeply unsettling culture regarding race and gender. Explicit, derogatory comments were made by top leadership regarding the physical appearance and roles of Black women within the company. This created an environment where Black employees, specifically Black women, felt targeted, unseen, and fundamentally unsafe. Retaliatory Management: Leadership operates with a high level of ego. Any attempt to advocate for better processes, point out disrespect, or challenge unfair treatment is met with swift retaliation, including termination. Professional advocacy is punished rather than encouraged. Unprofessional Conduct: Leadership has been known to use inappropriate language, including yelling and cursing at staff. Furthermore, there have been instances of inappropriate interpersonal relationships between leadership and staff, compromising the integrity of the workplace. Cronyism & Growth Barriers: Career advancement is largely tied to personal, long-term history with the founders rather than merit. Compensation and raises are distributed inequitably, with a heavy bias that overlooks the contributions of diverse talent.

Pros

The paycheck, which is average at best for the scope and pressure of the role.

Cons

The product is frequently sold to businesses that are not an ideal fit. It is also not operationally essential for most med spas, which makes even successful accounts vulnerable to churn during financial downturns. With significant feature overlap in the market, retention is often challenging for reasons outside the control of customer-facing teams. When accounts struggle or cancel, the financial impact is pushed onto Customer Success and Onboarding through withheld bonuses and performance goals tied to variables they do not influence. These teams are also not given consistent access to performance metrics, we never knew where we stood or what the yardstick would be. Compensation is structured around outcomes ICs have little authority to affect, creating ongoing burnout and resentment. Feedback from the front lines rarely results in meaningful operational change, and psychological safety is low. There has been a visible push to position the company as operating in the AI space without a clearly defined strategy or demonstrated value for customers or internal workflows. Public messaging about AI replacing roles has further contributed to low morale among staff. There is little to no defined career path or internal growth structure for individual contributors. Consider this role only if you need immediate employment. This environment is difficult to sustain long term. We were continually asked by the CEO or other leadership during my tenure to post positive reviews to Glassdoor.
