I work as a hospitalist at Renown Regional Hospital. We carry loads at least 50% higher than is safe for patient care and the result is that the hospital is one of the lowest rated hospitals in Nevada.
Management both at the professional and physician level is near non existent. The upper level managers take their example from Tony Slonim, the CEO who shows no aptitude for running a system this big. Turnover is higher than anywhere ive worked and physician job satisfaction is very very low.
If you are a physician looking for work in Reno Nevada, please be very very careful. This employer is very long on promises and very short on delivery.
