Pros

Interning at Relovv was great because it was more feasible to get a 1x1 with the heads of the company and get to be taught by them directly since it was a startup, which doesn't happen at bigger companies. As a creative marketing intern, I was given creative freedom when it came to doing some tasks and I was challenged to grow from my comfort zone. Lauren the operations manager was also frequently in communication with me when I had any questions or needed help!

Cons

For a start-up they were pretty organized, however, sometimes I wouldn't hear feedback about my creative tasks/ they were often not put to use. The workload is definitely manageable but it could be overwhelming if you procrastinate, especially with crosslisting or doing research on potential buyers/sellers. Overall, a great first internship!

Was a good experience in a Marketing Internship

Pros

I interned with Relovv last summer and it was a lot different from my other internships. I did this one for college credit and was simply hoping to get hours to pass my college’s internship course. As the summer went on, I actually began to devote a lot more time to the internship because I actually felt like I was making a difference, not just logging hours. The company is really small, so it allows you to work closely with the CEO and other employees. Because of this, I was able to give direct feedback about what I liked, what I thought Relovv could do better, and what I thought could be improved. The structure of the internship also works really well if you do it remotely like me (I know there are some interns based in LA who are able to go into the office) Because I worked remote, I was able to finish assignments late at night (I’m a night owl). I found it really helpful to be able to do this rather than having to go into an internship every day after class. I would really recommend this internship for someone who is a self-motivated worker.

Cons

If you procrastinate, the work can be a little hard to catch up on, so make sure you have a plan for time-management.
