Pros

Cannot say at this present time.

Cons

The job is not what was advertised on the Linkedin job AD. It is a door-to-door sales job for a milk company. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bothered going through a 2 week job interview process only to get to the un-boarding stage and find out that marketing is not at all focus but rather door-to-door sales. I've had to withdraw my application as this is not the job I was advertised and the role kept morphing into something I didn't want at every turn. In addition to this lack of transparency, it is a commission based role. Even getting the "minimum pay" requires you to make sales door-to-door. I don't want to sell products to people at their home like an Avon lady in the 80's, I want to work in marketing and creative campaign development. They should be upfront about what they are hiring for so that people who want these type of roles can apply and those who don't, don't have their time wasted. Also, the working hours were disclosed as 10am - 8pm. Upon further investigation, these hours are constantly changing, and travel could prolong it. This is NOT at all what was advertised in the job role. The job ad on linkedin I saw was this: Marketing Assistant About the job Marketing isn't just theory here. It's live campaigns. Real customers. Real impact. WHAT THIS ROLE IS At Relay Direct, marketing is hands-on. As a Marketing Assistant, you won't be scheduling social posts or pulling reports. You'll be on the ground — supporting live brand campaigns for some of the UK's most recognisable names and seeing the direct impact of your work. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Support delivery of customer-facing marketing and brand campaigns Engage directly with customers to drive awareness and brand perception Assist in developing outreach strategies tailored to local markets Analyse campaign activity and contribute to team performance reviews Build customer relationships that translate into measurable outcomes THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Passionate about marketing, brand, and customer behaviour Strong communicator who enjoys engaging with people Creative thinker with a practical, get-things-done attitude Marketing, communications, or business graduates are strongly encouraged to apply WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE £30–£34k OTE with uncapped commission Training in live marketing strategy and campaign management Clear route into senior marketing and management roles A collaborative, fast-paced team environment From this AD, I was under the impression that I would be working on the ideation and execution of marketing campaigns not doing door-to-door sales for commission. This is a blatant misrepresentation of the role.
