Scheduling is consistent, and shifts are usually easy to get covered. Most of the job is sitting or standing and there are rarely issues that would require a lifeguard
Cons
The schedule is set for about 4 months ahead of time, so requests off need to be placed well in advance. The shifts can also be boring when solo or if your partner guard is busy with something else and unavailable to talk
