Pros

Flexible Schedule, Easy to request off Fun work environment depending on coworkers <--this is a MAJOR positive Free Movies and posters Not always hectic/busy so have time to relax Time and a half on Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving Rarely gets boring and you get to meet people from all walks of life Good for night owls Regular reviews for floor staff and raises

Cons

Corrupt/uncaring DM's Promotion of mostly males into the GM positions and only ones who buddy up to the DM's Inconsistent enforcement of policies and procedures resulting in stressful work environments, each building does whatever they want to do regardless of policies. Overbearing HR Department - you need to be the "i don't care" manager in order to not get in trouble Low pay rate - pay rate can be higher for higher volume locations Very corporate -they don't care about the employees or managers, only about their stocks on the market Reviews for managers are often not completed or you never see them

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
