Pros
This was my first real job back in High School. My managers were all really nice and welcoming and also very flexible with my hours. I was in school and played many sports so I just had to give a weeks notice of what shifts I couldn't work and they would accommodate it. You get free pop and popcorn when you're on break. Free movie tickets was also really nice, especially because its getting so expensive. I was promoted to a shift leader fairly early and could have been assistant manager if I didn't move for college. The staff I worked with would always try to make ordinary work and tasks fun. Great experience for customer service.
Cons
Well the uniform is not that appealing on anyone (black pants, black belt, black shoes and a nasty polo). I'm a night owl so I didn't mind the shifts but they can be late especially with midnight premiers. Closing concessions I wouldn't get done till after 1 am on normal nights. You're often cleaning up after people so sometimes that can get a little rough. Some managers would say they would be worked right up to about 37 hours so they wouldn't have to pay them benefits (I don't know if this is actually true or not though). Some theres not much traffic and no new movies so they are overstaffed and either won't schedule you for many hours or send you home really early. No discount on concessions when seeing a movie :/
