SEVERE lack of accountability from the SINGAPORE HR side:
- Wrong computation of monthly performance bonuses despite mutual agreement between direct supervisor & employee for given amount
- Tracking of annual leaves (via employee portal) are poorly managed; Figures are wrong (random) most of the times.
- Change in bonus structure unbeknown to employees until pressured for an answer (Employees have yet to receive a revised contract for months with relation to this)
- Late payslips (up to a couple of months)
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, HR personnel ONLY respond to your queries when issues are escalated to upp mgmt. Otherwise, be prepared to be IGNORED.
(To further justify this, HR personnel are rarely seen in person; ironically, not adhering to an employee attendance roster managed by themselves )
Poor recruitment of middle management common across all functions:
- Middle management day2day focused solely on placating founders rather than reviewing and improving internal processes
- Non-existent leadership qualities and presence within the company/internal teams. Also, very exploitative of their own team.
- Lack of negotiation prowess (Likely due to a lack of experience in the relevant industry) to push back on founder's suggestions
- Results in being irrelevant/phase out with minimal contribution relative to founders and/or working level individuals.
