Pros

I was supervised very well and learned a lot about clinical work. I got to make a huge difference in the lives of my clients and my community. I was sent to important trainings and made lifelong friends with my coworkers.

Cons

A lack of understanding or interest from the management. There are people who are untouchable and others who are let go quickly. Management is often a hindrance to workflow and clinical practice.

Pros

This is not your typical work place. I have never felt so heard, accepted, and valued before. You are not just a number or another body here. You are valued and appreciated and noticed. Even on bad days, there is no criticism or belittlement. I strive to work hard everyday because whether I fail or succeed, my team has my back. This is a great organization to work for and to grow with. There is a lot of potential. We keep growing as individuals and as a team and as a company.

Cons

Although full benefits are offered, I cannot find medical or dental services in the area that take the insurance, even with the changeover.

Pros

Coworkers in the homes are supportive and genuinely care about the clients. The work can feel meaningful, and peer support is often what helps staff get through difficult shifts.

Cons

Upper management does not compensate home staff in a way that reflects the level of stress, responsibility, and frequent client escalations involved in the job. Cost-of-living raises have been communicated multiple times over the past few years but have not been followed through. Employees working at the Orchard campus often earn more and have evenings, holidays, and weekends off, while home staff regularly work off-hours and holidays, with little to no chance for a different shift. This makes it difficult for many direct-care employees to prioritize time with their own families and contributes significantly to burnout.
