Pros

Good location. Bright office. Opportunity to occasionally work from home. Some fun projects.

Cons

- High employee turnover. This company is a toxic sinking ship and people are fleeing fast, at least a dozen so far in 2019 (several in the last month alone), which is a big deal for such a small company. - The CEO is completely oblivious and thinks he's doing a great job and delivering, but in reality he flips on a dime and his word means very little; promises made one day and reneged on the next. Gas-lighting abounds; Passive aggressive is the temperament du jour. - Team pay raises get announced at "all hands"/general meetings, then they get pushed back by several months and in some cases reneged on. Most colleagues that I've spoken to about the situation are massively underpaid and actively looking for work elsewhere. - Redstamp is incredibly top heavy, more managers than there is work to manage. - More money has been wasted on unused equipment and office TVs (that I expect will continue to sit in boxes for months to come) than on training and promised pay raises. - There is lots of talk about equity and transparency, but it's just talk, no follow through. - No overtime pay - Below average benefits - Very few sick days. - Burnout rate amongst employees is extremely high due to high expectations while at the same time being underpaid and under-appreciated.

Pros

A strong creative team that can deliver at scale, working for Redstamp was always fun and engaging. They have a large pool of contractors and lots of opportunity to do variety of work. Client work is fast-paced and challenging. A great place to hone skills. Employees, contractors, and clients span multiple time zones so there is a ton of flexibility in schedules. Diverse workforce + women leaders. Team is collaborative and maintained positive energy while working with a remote workforce. This is the kind of place you can make your own path and grow with the company. Requires good attitude and flexibility. They don't have it all figured out and anyone with an entrepreneurial mindset will fit right in.

Cons

A lot of pressure on the leadership team to have it all figured out. So many internal projects and initiatives and little time to allocate time and resources. Junior talent will struggle working here, work is fast paced and expectations are high. Clients are very complex and require high level of experience. Capturing constructive feedback was sometimes difficult. Team leads take on majority of the work and struggle delegating and building structure and processes around their teams, which is natural for a team that is scaling. Work for contractors can drop unexpectedly. Team expects a time commitment and sometimes struggle forecasting work.

Pros

• The people I work with, across all teams, are lovely and talented • The relatively-flat organizational structure offers amazing learning opportunities • The client work is interesting and the output is held to a high standard • A lot of focus is directed at employee wellbeing and satisfaction • Similarly there's a lot of focus on professional development and helping employees grow • Completely remote team means people can work from pretty much anywhere

Cons

• The pay is reasonable, but not competitive; the benefits are the same • Inconsistent flow of work means it's either super busy or super slow • Company culture feels a little forced at times
