Pros
The people and benefits are great.
Cons
I've been at Redesign Health for several years, and it's clear the company has been in a downward spiral for at least the last three. Multiple rounds of layoffs have affected morale and productivity, but there’s one constant issue: the CEO, Brett Shaheen. He’s completely out of his depth, lacking the fundamental skills to lead a company. His impulsive decisions only serve to mask the deeper issues within the organization, and they’ve done more harm than good. What’s even more frustrating is that most of the leadership team lacks any real healthcare or venture capital experience—two areas crucial to Redesign’s business. It makes you wonder what they’re even doing here, given the company’s continued failings. The truth is, this company won’t last another 12 months. Instead of tackling the real operational issues, the CEO constantly resorts to short-term financial fixes and gimmicks, hoping they’ll patch over the deeper problems. But the real issue is his poor leadership and lack of business sense. The foundation is crumbling, and no amount of quick fixes will save it. Think carefully before joining.
