Pros
Networking with clients. Independence - management rarely interacted with engineers. Engineers interfaced directly with clients.
Cons
Turn-over was insane. Only about 15% of the company had been there longer than a year. The primary criteria the company looked for in new employees was whether or not said employee had a pulse. Sometimes would even hire candidate if he/she didn't. Management appeared to prioritized billable hours over quality work. HQ was in the Middle of Nowhere, WI - email and license servers were spotty at best. Apparent business model was to let the engineers do all of the billable work and interface with clients. Curious what the upper management actually did other than take a paycheck. RedFusion Studios lost the only client that was paying the bills and owner shut down 1/31/14. Notified everyone by email - very classy! This was the owners' second failed attempt at an engineering consulting company. Curious to see whether he tries a third.
