Pros

You mostly get a lot of independence on the job, unless you're working on something that is highly visible/management has huge hopes for. The people you work with on a day to day basis are really great people, and it's really fun to work on a super high speed and high challenge project

Cons

Despite the independence I mention as a pro to the company, please don't think there is actually a lot of ownership for your work. If you work on a global brand in a local market team, there are so many more political battles to fight and in the end, strategy is ultimately not actually yours. Since strategy is the larger umbrella for the whole business - if it's not your strategy (esp if you disagree on the strategy), you end up executing tactics that you don't believe in - thus, not truly owning anything. But since people always move off their businesses before they can reap the benefits/detriments of their own work, I guess there's never a real solid incentive-based reason for anyone to be very strategic.
