The company aims for one thing, but act in almost the opposite way
Aim: They invest in their people
Action: The company recently let go of several key staff over the last few months, without ever telling the company why. One day they are there, next, who knows. A few weeks back, a primary stakeholder in a major program was just gone. This left us with nobody to actual do the work and set back our project by months.
Aim: To be the go to destination for the aesthetic customers
Action: On my team, the leadership punted several key large scale tech investments that are essential to properly serving customers and growing the company. This frustrates staff, leads to a bad customer experience, and sets us behind competitors.
Aim: Transparency between leaders and teams
Action: We often hear about hyped up big investments in key groups or initiatives that fail to get off the ground - most never to be heard of again. This only baits gossip, distrust and concern among employees.
