Pros
Salad bar- but it usually runs out by 11 am for day shift Bilingual staff- if you do not speak Spanish expect to be ignored by the majority of employees
Cons
Company openly discourages family time during the holidays, even for non-essential non-production employees. Must work one full year for even an hour of sick pay or funeral leave- very little sympathy for grieving or chronically ill employees. Valuable employees handling intellectual assets are put on the same level as manufacturing positions which require only the ability to read and write so Ready Foods is generally not a place for professionals. Most employees are above the age of 50, generally unwelcoming towards younger generations (unless you're hispanic or related to someone who works there) Uncomfortable work environment, low ceilings with excessive number of florescent lights, no windows or natural lighting in offices/lunch rooms, offices are cleaned during business hours so regular bleach smells and inconvenient wet floors.
