Pay was better than expected and I worked with a great group of nurses.
Cons
In order to keep pay “level,” you were expected to conduct research or improvements for either the unit, or hospital (based on level). If you didn’t comply, they would drop you down a level, which translated to roughly a 10% pay decrease. I’m not sure if this is still in practice.
