Pros

re:work training teaches the foundations of entry-level software sales in 8-weeks. Alumni of our program, mostly Black and Latinx folks from the South and West sides of Chicago, earn an average starting salary of $50,000. There is a massive wage imbalance between underserved communities, particularly amongst Black and Latinx communities, and White communities. Meanwhile, universities are drowning these same underserved communities in debt and not providing students with the skills to succeed in tech careers. The problem is then compounded in hiring practices - companies need and want diverse, qualified employees, but do not always know where to find this talent. re:work training approaches this challenge in three ways: 1. Eight weeks of training with a focus on sales skills and the technology industry 2. Job placement for the candidates who successfully complete our training 3. Opportunities for value-added partnerships through volunteerism

Cons

If investing your time on weekends, to change your future and income ...it may not be the right fit for you.

re:WORK TRAINING is a nonprofit dedicated to helping underrepresented individuals break into tech sales. The team is incredibly supportive, fostering a growth mindset that’s invaluable in the job search. With a strong, diverse community, this is the bootcamp to be at! AND IT IS FREE!! What’s better than that?!

Cons

Pros

"Re:Work Training is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on bridging the gap between exceptional, yet often overlooked, talent and rewarding careers in tech sales. They empower individuals by providing them with the necessary skills, robust networks, and ongoing support to thrive in this dynamic field. They warmly invite both individuals and companies to join in their mission, engaging with talented candidates across the country. They also facilitate connections by sharing job opportunities, referring qualified candidates, and connecting hiring managers with our pool of motivated individuals. Their volunteers, mentors, coaches, and guest speakers are all deeply passionate about creating a more inclusive and equitable landscape in the tech industry, ensuring that individuals of all backgrounds have the opportunity to achieve their professional aspirations."

Cons

Their only drawback is being a remote-only network or provider, which may limit those who would benefit from in-person learning.
