Pros

It is close to home, no traffic and commute is only 10 minutes. It is a beautiful facility and close to many wonderful restaurants.

Cons

The previous comment made by a current employee has a few discrepancies, and must have been made in haste. Firstly, "professional" is misspelt...ironically. Secondly, if there are no cons for a year, what do you consider "positive changes"? Why fix what is not broken? There are cons to every company, whether it's a major or minor issue, and could be triggered by a personality, ethical, political etc. Here is a con to consider: NOT having CMS or Joint Commission accreditation since November 2017. This was when it was revoked because this surgery center REFUSED TO FOLLOW COMPLIANCE RULES AND REGULATIONS! Surgery centers can only can accept cash payments, or those final, lingering private insurance companies who will follow suit and revoke if they haven't already at this point. Accreditation is important because it not only showcases the high standards and commitment to quality patient care, but also that's where the revenue is made for the surgery center, and this income (ideally!) is put toward safe patient care.

Pros

They have a staff MA that is fantastic. This woman works so hard. She is the only "pro" that this place has. She makes everything flow so much more smoothly. She is incredibly helpful. If she isn't there, you are in the jungle though. Don't expect any "team work" from their main staff nurse! She is incredibly unskilled, slow, and lazy.

Cons

A very unsafe place to work. You could lose your license here on any given day. They do not follow policy here. For example, they will have one nurse alone care for any number of patient in the PACU, just to save money. Not only is this grossly inappropriate, because you should always have at least two RNs in a PACU, but the nurse is then extremely overworked, does not have the time for proper breaks, and naturally becomes exhausted around mid-shift while still caring for patients. That is just one example as to how this place is not safe. There are many from what I saw.
