Pros

You get to do something that matters. The courses that Rapport provides are life altering for graduates and you get to be a part of that. You also get to attend all the courses, along with your family which can equal $20,000 or more (depending on the size of your family). It is casual attire most days (except on class days). The new office (even though smaller) is a lot fresher and modern. You don't feel micro-managed and the majority of people who work for Rapport are remote, living in other states. Managers are flexible and allow you to take time off or arrive late for family emergencies. The people there are nice and the clients genuinely love hearing from you when you phone.

Cons

Decisions take a while to be adopted. People like to lament on the past, when the economy was healthier and companies could afford to send more people to leadership training. There are a few volatile employees in the mix which can affect the culture. The company has a lot of employees who have worked for 20 years or more and they refuse to change - even though it makes good business sense. The healthcare offered is expensive especially if you have a family. The IT systems need updating.

Pros

Life changing experience. Breaking down walls, letting go of fear, stepping up and taking control of your life is what is taught.

Cons

Very hard, tiring, a lot of travel, not much sleep, long bus ride, push you to your max and sometimes you feel like quitting. There is a method to the madness though and it all works out just fine.

Pros

Able to implement ideas quickly, not a lot of micro managing.

Cons

Disorganized. No H.R., No Legal Team, No Finance team. The President once said that anyone who has an H.R. issue should go to her directly, and anyone who has an issue with her should go to the owners directly, which is extremely problematic. Enmeshed family dynamic, most of the training team is contractors who have no experience outside of this organization in training, facilitation, or leadership with direct reports, contractors leaned into heavily for company decisions, no coaching for executives, no budgets for teams, intensive trainings built 10 years before ADA went into compliance. The curriculum is kept a secret and most clients pay thousands of dollars before knowing the details of sleeping arrangements or expectations of the courses. The insurance is covered around 20% for the employee. A family on the lowest tier plan will be paying around $1500/month for medical, dental, ad/d, life insurance. Pay for employees on average is 30% less than industry standard across the board.
