Pros

Management where I was really felt like a trustworthy friend. Always looking out for us and even when we didn't have work made sure we were getting paid. Any time upstairs made decisions that only affected their immediate bottom line and didn't see what that did to guys in the field, he was there at the meetings to negotiate. Fair travel, out of town, and overtime pay Clear and easy progression of career to journeyman, and they'll help pay for your certification and education. Journeymen are rewarded with bonuses if they complete jobs without using up all the job's allotted hours. Lots of high quality tools are provided

Cons

The work can suck sometimes. If you're in an attic over 100° crawling in insulation, or you need to work 16 hours cause your job site is 3 hours away, those days are rough. Current ownership underappreciates the input of field workers on the long term impact of decisions, like buying fittings that eat up cost savings with time losses.
