Pros

This is the place for you if you need daily, regimented time management and constant evaluation of your work and like to see the methods of operations change frequently and enjoy meeting new people but not establishing relationships with your co-workers. You've never worked in an office. It's your first office experience and you like to buy things from the owner's family members..

Cons

Your fifteen-minute breaks are stringently timed, but also your 30-minute lunches, times in and times out are digitally monitored. If you are digitally late (clocking in one second past the minute you are due) three times in a quarter then you will be placed on probation. This applied to everyone, so don't work there unless you work well with a daily to-the-minute routine. Pay is not great and raises are barely keep up with job market. All staff is expected to pitch in to donate food for homeless/needy in area, but I knew some staff members on government assistance who were embarrassed if they didn't sacrifice of their provisions during these "friendly" competitions to help the community. Dead-end job unless you are a family member, active or retired military, or if you are like family (beware).

Hello, Let me begin by saying I’m sorry that you feel this way about our company. A few things about your review I would like to address are as follows. Turnover: while I can’t speak to the turnover rate of an inner city McDonald’s (I’m also not going to comment on how that’s racist) I can say that yes we did have an issue with turnover in the past but I’m proud to say that we are continually striving to be better and have reached an impressive turnover percentage for the 3rd and 4th quarters. Time Management: Let’s begin with regimented time management, we pride ourselves in doing more than expected of us from our clients and to accomplish that time management is key. I wish I could tell you that we have lazy\do nothing days but alas, the wheel keeps turning and we have to be experts at time management here. As far as breaks go, yes they are tracked digitally, it is 2017 and doing so otherwise would be against our drive to constantly innovate and improve and though we digitally track time punches I have never seen anyone “placed on probation” for being one second late 3 times. It is possible to be coached and counseled on punctuality when you have been tardy three times (by more than a second btw) but I’ve never seen a “probation”. Pay and raises: You mentioned that “the pay is not great and the raises are barely keep up with the job market”, pay is difficult to manage as are raises. We are currently working on a regimented pay\raise structure that would be more understandable and applicable, thank you however for saying that we at least we keep up with the job market if barely. The food drive or any other charity events we have: These are not mandatory events. They are volunteer only. Neither upper management nor I even pay that much attention to who participates and who doesn’t. If someone in the office pushed someone or goaded them into participating and making them uncomfortable then I would like to know, because that would be taken care of quickly. Dead-end job: For some people I could see where that statement could be true. If you wish to punch a clock (one second late or not) maintain and muddle through your day and then leave at the end of it then I can see where it may be a dead end job for you. For the rest of the team, who clock in (always on time) and strive to innovate, improve and better themselves then it is not a dead end job. We don’t have a single manager that was hired as a manager. We promote talented individuals who have exceled tried their hardest every day, most of which are not now or have ever been active duty military or like family. (btw everyone here is “like family” to me) Finally we get to the curious one… Buying things from the owner’s family members: Since this complaint is so vague I’m not even sure what that means. If it means the replacement\extra t-shirts then I assure you what you are paying is the cost of the shirt directly from the company. I’ve never seen anyone in the owner’s family attempt to sell anything to anyone here and I doubt they ever will. I would like to thank you for your advice, we should rethink the way we motivate our team and our management style constantly. That is a huge part of what we believe in growing and doing better all the time. I agree that adults should be treated like adults, if there are rules to follow adults follow them, if there is work to be done in a short amount of time then adults roll up their sleeves and get to it. We expect this out of everyone we meet and work with and we make doubly sure that everyone we meet and work with can rely on this from us. In summation, I’m sorry that it wasn’t made clear enough that we have strict deadlines as a company and require time management skills. I am also sorry that you were unable to establish relationships with any of your coworkers, which is something that I personally enjoy most about working here. Finally I wish that I could say that the work was always routine, with lax deadlines, that clients never wanted something done a different way or that every person who came to work with us stayed for a very long time, but I can’t always say that. What I will say is we will make an effort to be more clear with new hires the time management aspects of our work so that we can keep more of the best people around and not have the turnover of an “inner city McDonald’s” (that’s still racist btw)

Pros

This company is consistently focused on growth and development, and more efficient ways of doing things. There is always research into new technology and industry changes, which means longer term employees have options to learn new things and move into different departments if desired. The work-life balance is unmatched. We go home at 5 pm and that's that. We get paid time off, vacation time, holiday time, insurance, retirement benefits. The biggest pro is my coworkers. They are fantastic and it makes you feel good going to work every day with people that are positive and fun and working toward the same goals.

Cons

Tight deadlines are the reality. Big projects with numerous components are a thing. If you're thinking you're going to sit at a desk and wait for a phone to ring, this is not the place. Most of my coworkers thrive in our busy environment, but it's not for everyone.
