Pros

I've worked for 3 top 10 management companies in a 15 + year career in property management. RPM has a robust group of innovative leaders and creative thinkers. I felt welcomed the day I arrived and I have a voice at a large company. This is the exact type of culture I was seeking.

Cons

The current economic environment our clients face creates new stresses in the industry not experienced before in my career. However, these challenges are not unique to RPM and being felt by all. Loving the people I work with and respecting my leaders makes this era of Real Estate a valuable learning environment.

Pros

The company is very big on promoting from within and actively encourages internal growth. There is a wealth of information available through the various courses they offer, which allows you to gain a significant amount of industry knowledge if you are self-motivated.

Cons

While the resources are there, the culture is very much "figure it out on your own." Leadership often points you toward the Knowledge Network rather than providing actual hands-on guidance or support. Additionally, there is a lack of transparency with clients; it often feels like you are "co-managing" rather than truly managing the asset because so much is withheld from the owners. It is also extremely difficult to move underperforming staff out, which creates a drag on the rest of the team.
