Pros

Nothing much to scream about, salary is on time. Some team members are helpful and supportive and you do meet a few good people along the way who make the day a bit more manageable.

Cons

Honestly, don’t think anyone regretted leaving this place. The biggest issue here is leadership and management. The director(s) are the most passive aggressive people you’ll come across if you don’t lick their boot. If you’re looking to start your PR journey, I’d think twice, as this isn’t an environment that encourages learning or constructive feedback. And the biggest joke is when the company “PREACHES” about growth, development blabalblaaa, BUTT we are not encouraged to challenge ideas. The boomer mindset of some directors here is WILD! Seriously, how can someone be in this industry for decades and still have ZERO clue about the industry itself? Don't even get me started on media relationships. It's honestly embarrassing when people in the industry don't even know who your directors are. Gaslighting and intimidation culture is another problem here. It is like they are wired to assert some sort of dominance to create fear Micromanagement is another huge issue and this company has a weird obsession over employees personal life. Like WHY?!?! Just stay out of it….focus on your own spouse and kids. The relationship with clients is also strange. We have had instances clients telling us directly that a particular director has a habit of throwing their own team under the bus. When clients can see it, you know it’s a problem. The turnover rate should tell you everything you need to know. People leave because they’re tired of the culture and leaders here. When people (directors) have been sitting on those chairs for donkey years maybe it’s time to reevaluate things on who's actually holding the company back.

Pros

My experience here helped me get my jobs after, somewhat. They don't charge for the coffee in the pantry. Other pros of working here include: Salary (per written contract) was paid on time and basic administrative processes functioned. EPF was paid accordingly Annual leave met the statutory requirements. Generally I was able to take planned leave. Standard work laptop was provided, even if it's old it works. Some in management showed a high level of care and personal interest in employees’ lives which was sweet

Cons

Writing the following based on my personal experience. In one instance, a team-building meeting I attended featured what appeared to be a sharing session about an external paid health and wellness programme for weight loss, which did not seem directly work-related. This holistic wellness opportunity was pitched as part of our professional development and team bonding activities. Governance and internal processes (e.g. grievance handling, ethical guidelines) were rarely enforced which made it difficult to work here towards the end. Communication around contract terms, salary bands, role expectations, or even daily work can be ambiguous and shifts, which made it difficult to rely on anything heard. Workplace boundaries were at times uncomfortable. I was often asked detailed personal questions (health, personal doctor's name, relationships, etc.), and politely declining to answer had some negative social consequences for me. Favouritism appeared to influence recognition, accountability, and progression more than performance. Instances such as unpaid, after-work, or out-of-pocket “mandatory” team activities and lack of replacement leave added to the overall dissatisfaction. Limited opportunities for skill development or meaningful career progression. Compensation growth appeared closely tied to promotions, with little flexibility otherwise.

Pros

Managers that look out for their subordinates and ensure a healthy and cooperative working environment best they can.

Cons

Higher ups that are out-of-touch with their employees day to day. Take on more clients and projects more than we can handle and refuse to provide more manpower adequately yet want more "efficient" workflow. ZERO worklife balance, stringent with work from homes like it's a crime. Requires you to give up your weeknights and weekends to adhere to their deliverables.
