Pros

Coworkers who band together in times of chaos, which is all the time at RGI!

Cons

Please please please reach out to current or former employees on LinkedIn prior to interviewing or accepting a job here. All of the positive reviews on this site are from family members, the 3 long time employees, or overseas offices. There are generations of former employees out there, meaning management will go on a hiring spree, fill up seats of 1-2 dozen employees, then they will all leave or get fired within 18 months, at which point the process starts all over again. When interviewing, I was under the impression the hiring spree at that time was due to business growth. Do not let them fool you! It is just a vicious cycle that they go through on repeat. Many people have left high potential jobs in the city to avoid the LIRR and work closer to home. IT’S NOT WORTH IT!! A move to this company has been career suicide for many people. Don’t become another RGI statistic! The other 1 star reviews are 100% on point. It is the same experience for everyone new who joins. Even if you’re made to feel like the golden child at first, your time will come when leadership will turn on you and your days will be numbered.

Thanks for writing. You don’t get better at what you do, not matter your stage in career or life, unless you are willing to be open to change. We have made good strides over the years, grown quickly, supported our social missions, lead in our markets. I realize this was and is not for everyone. Nevertheless, my best for your future success. Allan

Pros

Thus far my experience has been totally positive. The training program has been great, colleagues are extremely helpful and willing to help in getting me onboarded and up to speed. Beautiful product and well-established business with room to still be entrepreneurial. Indepth training, a ton of resources, collaborative team, flexible work schedule, fun working environment.

Pros

Working with the owner of this fast-paced and rapidly growing company has been such a rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to tap into every facet of design I have garnered throughout my entire 30+ years as a senior designer/consultant. Allan has been one of the most amazing leaders in the design space I have met. He pushes boundaries so that he can up the product to the next level and is always looking for ways to upgrade or improve upon, with respect to all aspects of the design - including building and growing design team members, advancing the source materials, upgrading the presentations and the products. Working here has been exhilarating and amazing. Allan is reshaping his company and hiring amazing talent to help him move the company towards this new company vision. Adopting new systems and modernization of tools to help the design team has been a pleasure to watch unfold and to be a partner on. I have thoroughly enjoyed my design work with Allan and have watched the product become more polished and elevated with each project we work on together. I look forward to each design project and initiative Allan sends my way.

Cons

The pace of growth has not been fully handled. The team is growing weekly, which has been both exciting and challenging. Setting up communication always takes a little "extra" time when new players are added. This will start to settle down as new hires settle into their roles and the workload will not be running the daily drive/people, but instead it will be the innovation of products.

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. We are working really hard every day at getting this right. We know that building a great team and culture, while providing us all with the tools, training and support we need takes an enormous amount of resources and energy . It is a goal that I am unconditionally committed to. Allan
