Pros

Hard to find any positives.

Cons

PeopleTech is a frustrating and toxic workplace. Some colleagues show racist behavior, even though they’re just peers, not bosses. Management is entirely Chinese, and non-Chinese staff are stuck in lower roles with no growth. No salary increments, no bonuses, and workloads are overwhelming, often one person handles an entire role alone. Because you’re on your own, there’s little opportunity to learn or develop professionally. Pay is below average, and the company operates like a chaotic startup. Overall, unfair, stressful, and not recommended.

Pros

Today is my last day, and I would like to share my internship experience. When I told my superiors (Brian and Wong Wei Kin) about the kind of projects I was interested in and the direction I wanted my career to grow, they actually listened and gave me the opportunities I asked for. That level of openness and trust toward an intern is rare and made all the difference. I was given real responsibility across IT operations, internal tool development on Lark Base, ticketing system buildouts, and AI agent projects that were actually deployed for internal use — not 'intern busywork.' The work was meaningful, and I left with portfolio-worthy projects that I genuinely built end-to-end. The biggest highlight was being included in the Corporate Innovation Global Summit 2026, representing the technical IT side of Ramssol and speaking directly with founders, CEOs, and senior executives of unicorn-scale companies. That kind of exposure at the very start of a career is hard to put a price on. On top of that, during the drives between locations, the Head of Sales Miss. Sharon Kua shared incredibly valuable life lessons and career advice with me — conversations that genuinely shifted the way I think about growth, leadership, and long-term success. The mentorship was equally strong. The Group COO Brian trusted me with significant responsibilities, and I received invaluable career guidance throughout — including personal conversations about future growth and direction. On top of that, every single person in the company is genuinely kind, helpful, and willing to teach. That kind of culture is honestly rare in most companies today, and it made the workplace genuinely enjoyable to come into every day.

Cons

The only real downside was the daily commute. As an intern relying on public transport, I had to spend roughly one hour each way getting to and from the office. For an IT role specifically — where most of the work can be done from anywhere — having even a small amount of hybrid flexibility (for example, one or two days a week from home) would have made the experience close to perfect.
