Pros

Amazing facility, super clean with the coolest brands/products. Felt like a kid in a candy store. Lots of benefits, good compensation, amazing team. Management was very supportive and understanding. You get to work with the coolest brands and products in the industry, very well respected company in the bike world. Access to the best tech. They have a café, showers and other great amenities. As a POC the bike world can feel very clicky, but they were instantly warm and welcoming me to their family. I've work is lots of shops and this one was the best.

Cons

I had to drive 30min each way, but was worth it.

Pros

What can i say, working at this shop was a dream (on the surface) the facilities are top notch, everyone on staff is the best of the best, and the pay was competitive. But, dont be fooled by the spectacular amenities and fancy bikes. This shop is the same as any other, the stakes are just higher. The shop offers a nice 5% match 401k, decent healthcare, theres a shower (but no employee lounge), a cafe with food and drink, convenient location, networking opportunities and a sense of community.

Cons

A good house is built on a solid foundation and a good shop is built upon its handling of information. To this end, the point of sale system could best be described as swiss cheese. The shop uses a custom, in-house, point of sale system. Which is inexorably tied to the heavily trafficked website. Its shortcomings necessitate the use of multiple auxiliary applications to keep track of simple things like the service calendar. I found it to be a constant source of tedium and confusion. Unfortunately, when you fill a shop with the best of the best, big personalities come along with that. What you end up with is a village filled with a bunch of chiefs and no indians (pardon the metaphor). Theres a lot of grand ideas and talk, but execution often seemed haphazard. Pompous vibes, politics, and drama were ultimately the reason i left.
