Pros

Good job, great place, with clear expectations of makeable targets easily achieved with honest effort. Mature centre with most staff there more than five years, and older than 30, making for a quiet, professional workplace and environment. I was constantly treated professionally and like an adult. No shifts on the weekends, or after 6 p.m., unless you qualify to work to 6:30 p.m. Mon-Thu and leave two hours early on Friday. Excellent time off setup for vacation, personal time, sick time, and lateness policies. Ample parking. It is only a minute's walk to Sobeys, and four minutes to Tim Horton's, with an excellent on-site cafe, excellent and cheap. My manager was excellent to deal with. Good job, not great, but with very few derogatories that are numerous in other call centres. Best job I ever had, but couldn't handle the commute.

Cons

It is in a remote, beautiful location on First Lake Drive, Lower Sackville. If you have to commute from Halifax, try it once and decide if doing that every day is going to be worth it. I had a four hour daily commute, and couldn't handle it after three months. Keep your manager's 1-to-1 weekly evaluation under 30 minutes, or that can make you miss your talk-time daily target of 3:45, as happened with me in three months. If she persists in going over that time, speak to department manager Keith.

Pros

Great culture, and learned a lot. I was not scared to ask questions, and they gave me a reasonable amount to do. My manager was the best!

Cons

Your typical 9-5, sat at a desk some days
