Pros
The company offers lots of opportunities for development - new features are always being added to the product. Lots of perks - social events, snacks, free breakfast and beer on Fridays. CEOs monitoring close overall satisfaction from employees - frequent surveys done to measure it. Hackatons happen every quarter and provide a nice break to explore new ideas - product related or not. Rapid growth rate - I've been working there for more than a year and the company almost doubled the size since I joined. Good infrastructure - we work with Macs, there are plenty of devices to test and there is VPN to support home office when required. Great spirit of camaraderie in the team, everyone will stop a minute to help with questions, technical or not.
Cons
Company is going through growth pains - current office is getting real crowded (but we are moving to a new space in a couple of weeks). When the company was smaller, meetings were more frequent and we could easily pack all the team in our biggest room. Meetings with full team still happen in a shorter frequency but, in the other hand, quality of the time spent together has improved, giving a great sense of how business is going. There is effort to keep sprints planned and releases within reasonable timeframes, but real life will strike sometimes and priorities will need to be reviewed.
