Pros
You get promoted very quickly, they appreciate your hard work, you make tips if customers tip you, as an employee you have access to the best lucky duck wash and vacuums with no extra charge, works with Texas army national guard schedules, you don't work if it snows, if you're ASL you get insurance after 30 days, getting a good workout being on your feet all day, get experience, looks good on your resume, you do get raises after a certain amount of time working there, can work more hours or days upon request, you get a tie and a name tag and must wear a uniform, work with great people as a team, you do get overtime pay, incentives may be given for Memberships (ex: first person to get 50 new members receives $50 gift card), very understanding of medical or family emergencies, don't have to clock out for lunch so you make extra money, you dont get a lot of cars in rain or bad weather, they will never accuse you of doing something you didn't do because they have cameras around the store, if it's slow and you've done all the tasks you needed to do you might find yourself getting paid for standing watch for customers.
Cons
You must be a good salesman to sell Memberships (with no commission), there are vacuum trainings you will do that will be done for two hours after closing whether you were scheduled to work that day or not, you have to be near moldy water, poles, walls, and mutters, you need to clean the car wash and the slime, you must tell your store leader your schedule or days off 3 weeks in advance but they can change your schedule 10 days before, you will work weekends, you will deal with angry customers taking up your time, you will be in the hot summer sun, the spring rain, or cold winter air no matter what they need you to work just in case you get customers, you'll make 20,000 steps a day, if you're alone in the store with a lot of customers and you need to go to the bathroom you basically can't and have to hold it or tell the customer you have to go and make them angry waiting, fill out incident reports and have to call them back whether accepted or denied, have to deal with customers lying about incidents and spend hours trying to find footage on the camera, you have secret shoppers that come in at any time and you must say the perfect pitch or risk an audio or you not saying it right and getting a write up or talk to the store leader, can be called on days off to come into the store, teenagers are mostly hired to work and most will quit without notice and leave you alone with too many cars to take care of, if you have been working there for a year or two and they hire a new ASL along with you they will make more money than you, if you are going to move and are a great worker who gets a lot of Memberships they might not let you relocate, you must take out the trash and if it rains it gets heavy with water and pops and splashes all over your clothes, if you don't have waterproof non slip shoes your socks will always be soaking wet, your clothes will always be dirty, you need at least 5 pairs of work pants and white shirts, if you don't clock out for lunch and you're busy with cars you might not get the chance to eat it, if you don't get a lot of cars when it rains there is a huge list of things you have to do around the wash so no matter what you're always working, if you're an ASL they will watch you on the cameras and make sure you are telling your team what to do and if you are doing a couple of tasks they will chastise you on working for your team members, at times it is so slow yet not raining that you will tell your team members to do slow tasks only to find that if it's slow it's easy to do them fast and efficiently so you might wait around and waste the entire day until your time to close or clock out, at times when it gets so busy you might stay an extra 10 or 20 minutes to help out even if you are scheduled a certain time to clock out.
