Pros
Historically, there has been a great deal of room for growth, particularly for those starting on the support team and graduating to other internal positions. Career development had always been encouraged, and the core value of "helping Canadians become financially successful and secure" is relatable.
Cons
There seems to have been some sort of coup at the C-level (this is just conjecture; I am not privvy to the details), causing a pivot away from core values and towards min-maxing profitability at the expense of the workforce. Massive layoffs without adequate justification—including the layoffs many cornerstones of the Questrade internal work culture—has obliterated employee morale and called into doubt the company's focus on the wellbeing and advancement of employees moving forward. Questrade has always been on the lower end of the fintech industry for compensation, but has made up for it by genuinely caring for their employees and pursuing a noble overall goal. That kool-aid has now gone rancid, and many employees who had been anchored here by value claims are now looking elsewhere.
