Pros

-Heavy rotation culture if you want to try a different role (some employees rotate within the finance organization every 3 years or so). -RSU and ESPP program made up for low base pay (if you can afford to participate in ESPP fully). -Benefits are pretty strong especially if you have a family. -In office culture very strong with food and events (if that's your thing). -Lots of opportunities to learn and take ownership. -Tons of smart people working alongside you. I had a few great managers (and some not so great)

Cons

-STRICT 4 day in office policy where company is tracking badge swipes and managers are monitoring compliance. NO FLEXIBILITY (at least in my previous department. I heard other departments were more flexible). This policy had changed drastically during my time there due to covid and overall workforce culture shifts. -WLB difficult at times as there are many international calls and a 4 day in office policy. Leaves very little time some days for your personal life and little room for you to plan your own work schedule. -I encountered some micromanagers who would get on a power trip. -VERY SLOW promotion path. Managers will make every single excuse under the sun for not promoting you. Even if you exceed your documented annual performance goals and discuss a promotion/career path months or even years in advance, it won’t happen. -Expect a a lot of in office meetings about culture and peer groups. If you hate employee networks and in office networking (that takes away from your actual work) this is not the place for you. -Low base pay and bad raises after annual review. The RSU program "ties" you to your employment there because you are waiting for the next vest constantly to ensure you actually receive your RSU's that were granted as a part of your annual review bonus. -Older work culture mentality. -Managers don't actually listen to you or your concerns. If you point out inefficiencies or improper business practices, management will do very little to fix it. This is very much a company where to succeed you need to drink the "koolaid" fully. Overall, I'm glad I got the experience and met some great people. I would maybe consider revisiting the company later in my career if they made some bigger cultural changes.

Pros

Great benefits, the pay is like okay. Some cool reimbursement programs and health centers on campus

Cons

Career progression and culture varies extremely depending on department. Some parts almost set you up for failure and it's difficult to gain new skills. Lots of qualcomm teams are too scared to explore new technologies and migrate to state of the art services and are comfortable in sticking with old technology for familiarity. Also, HR does nothing if a coworker makes you uncomfortable.
