Qonto Response
1moThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Qonto didn’t meet your expectations.
We're concerned to hear that you felt your ideas weren't welcome and that you felt micromanaged, as this contradicts the culture we aim to build. Our management philosophy focuses on empowerment and development. Our aim is to build an environment where every Qontoer is encouraged to challenge assumptions and experiment so that we can create the most value to our customers and everyone can learn and grow by solving real-life problems.
We've implemented a dedicated management training program (currently completed by over 50% of our active managers) and a structured skill matrix that defines clear expectations. Our bi-annual engagement surveys also help us identify and act on management issues across the organization. Your feedback shows that we still clearly have room to improve how that plays out in practice.
We’re also sorry to hear that you felt stuck in your career. We want everyone at Qonto to be able to build meaningful career with us, and we'd rather grow people internally than watch them leave to find that growth elsewhere. We conduct annual Progress Reviews where every Qontoer can discuss their career trajectory with their manager. We offer both expert and manager tracks, with mobility between them. During the last cycle, 62% of our employees received promotions or salary increases across our five offices.
That being said, at Qonto, career evolution is guided by business needs, so we don’t artificially create new roles or management layers unless they’re really needed. Our focus is on creating real opportunities to develop and progress, whether that means deepening expertise in the current role or exploring a new one. That's precisely why we've been actively developing internal mobility, with more than 40 internal moves already in 2026 only, to give Qontoers ways to grow across the company. We acknowledge this isn't yet where we want it to be, and we're actively working to strengthen the system.
Thank you again for your feedback. Reviews like yours help us identify where we fall short and help us improve the working experience for everyone. We wish you all the best in your next professional chapter.
