Pros

Fair salaries and stellar benefits as compared with the U.S.. Job packages, at minimum, include roomy housing inclusive of all utilities and wireless, health benefits, transportation allowances, ample time off and yearly tickets to home of record. The growth potential of the Qatar Foundation is staggering and inclusive of so many different professional paths: education at all levels, media, the arts, marketing, technology, research in all areas, events planning, facilities management and logistics, library science, community outreach, philanthropy...the list is almost endless... This is a wealth of opportunity.

Cons

There are bureaucratic snags to endure with the stresses of relocating internationally. Processing of visa papers and background checks and police clearance, etc. can be very time consuming, confusing, and tense. The initial period of settling in is probably the most difficult, along with adjusting to the extreme heat for 6 mod. of the year.

Pros

Salary, housing stipend, time off

Cons

Leadership is inconsistent and things are constantly changing. It's impossible to know what project will continue or be cut due to indecisiveness and leaders without the appropriate training to fully execute the job. Most leaders are in their role because they are related to someone or have the appropriate last name. Many of the nationals do not work so expats are required to do double duty to pick up the slack. Nationals make at least twice what expats do.
