Pros

Training at QA (Learning and development) - 3 days training that could costs 1000's £ working from home (remote working) early finish on Fridays 4pm

Cons

Very demanding management 1 rule for management and 1 rule for everyone else eg, you need to share if you are out of office at certain times, management will disappear and put on out of office any time without notifying team Salaries are so disproportionate- same team similar experience can have 10k difference in salary No transparency on salary promotions and salary bands Poor inclusivity and diversity Poor guidelines around flexible working (expectations to work core hours 9-4pm so not that much flexibility) Different teams have different rules, QA has 6 statements, nobody uses them as guidance - it’s a blame culture, Lots of micromanagement and gaslighting No clear direction from line management Lots of changes but no information being shared to employees (around business vision, changes to org structures and development and progress in roles) CEO send email updates from time to time about changes happening - no human touch, no interaction, no inspiration Low pay, less than median market rate for roles internal systems not being utilised properly (such as feedback system, appraisals and objective setting)

Pros

The skills platform developed by the former Cloud Academy team was innovative and well-received by customers.

Cons

Since my voluntary departure, the company has proven to be unreliable and somewhat cagey. Under the terms of their articles of association and ISD, they had 12 months to repurchase my preferred shares. Nearly 18 months have passed, and they refuse to repurchase my shares or communicate any reasons for the delay. One might conclude that they are dealing with financial difficulties.
