Pros
- Amazing place to get on the job training, there are learning opportunities every day. - You are not limited by your previous experience, if you want to learn something you’re given the opportunity to do that. - The staff are all incredibly dedicated and always very open to questions. - The work at the Foundation is varied and you can gain experience is so many different elements. Including but not limited to, project management, grant writing, working with external partners, and grant agreements. - The Senior Program Director is a wealth of knowledge and is a very hands on manager in the best way
Cons
- The foundation is housed within the Investment firm’s offices so you follow a similar structure and schedule which can be much more than a normal foundation/nonprofit. However, this is outlined up front during the interview process. - Similarly, the company culture is fast paced and sometimes high stress depending on the day.
