Pros

My first day starting at Qanalysts should have been a foreshadowing of what to expect when employed with them. There was a severe lack of on-boarding to the point that my manager didn’t even reach out to me to see how I was doing. I was left entirely alone with zero guidance and had to figure everything out. For anyone one complaining about a sink or swim mentality - working here is you in water wings in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean - you’re left alone, ignored and there is no support at all from management if you need help. Working here is a mix of Hunger Games (in that employees are eliminated at random - I’ve seen six people go in the space of a year), Hot Potato (when it comes to who gets stuck doing all the work) and something involving sad clowns (they represent management). All this combined makes for a cheap Squid Game knock off - except for the fact that it’s literally like high school with all the tropes (be careful of the snitches and backstabbers who will actively try to tear you down in order to get ahead). The pay is terrible. The pay for the role directly with a client starts at about 100k however TA1s make 60k; TA2s make between 90-110k (unless you’re lucky to be promoted which gets you paid 75k) (don’t worry about that though, only one person has been promoted internally - almost everyone has been an external hire to help hide just how terrible it is here). As this is a contract role under a managed service, Analysts literally take 40%+ off the top of what they charge the client, but this isn’t even the worst part of it! I know, it gets worse! Remember how I said it’s a managed service? Well anything the client says, goes. Instead of management pushing back and fighting for people below them, they have expanded the role and responsibilities of their direct reports. They have added more and more responsibilities without any additional compensation and when other members of the team have brought this up to management, it has resulted in management acting like a child going through the terrible two’s - giant tantrums, hissy fits - the works. Worst than that is it becomes a public shaming ritual as they see it as ‘tit for tat’ so the second they have a chance to try and call you out, they will take it and embarrass you. Their stance if you don’t like the hostile place they’re created for you to operate in is that classic pre-pandemic mantra of “if you don’t like it, leave”. It’s why I’ve seen the churn - with the shortest duration of a person being hired to resignation being two weeks. Benefits are that you get really bad healthcare - but it’s healthcare so…yay? You will get some branded swag (add it to your collection of failed start up swag). They also have a points system where they award you points to use on a complicated system to gain random rewards to restaurants not found in the state you work in. Don’t believe the hype, they’re $30 worth of gift cards when you’ve made your 90 days and they tax it.

Cons

What contributes to employee retention? 1. Strong employee/manager connections; 2. Competitive salary and room to grow professionally; 3. Job tasks that are purpose driven/rewarding. You won't get any of these here.
