Pros

It's full time, and the health benefits are decent

Cons

First of all, P.S. pays below the market average for a similar position. (9.50 to start, which is ridiculous) I was told during my interview ,"Good luck finding a better opportunity with your skill set." I should have seen that as a red flag, but was desperate for work at the time. This company is all about the money, and it's business practices are downright despicable. I was expected to lie to meet unobtainable sales goals, and beg customers to give me five star reviews on yelp/google. And if one didn't get enough reviews, you bet you're going to get a talkin' to. (I'm pretty sure most of the five star reviews on G.D. for this company are lies) Eventually employees just started faking these reviews online to get the DM's/RM's off our backs. I felt unsafe working alone, and have been threatened on multiple occasions by intoxicated customers. One guy threatened to kill me. If you want to work here you better be comfortable using scripts for every potential customer encounter, which made me personally feel like some corporate stooge, idiot robot. Working there was very stressful, and not worth the near poverty wages the company deems as sufficient compensation. I could go on and on about the unethical practices I witnessed everyday, but I won't. I'm just glad I'm out over there and this chapter of my life is closed.

Pros

Public Storage is a great place to work and grow your career. I’m surrounded by talented leaders who are supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in developing their teams. The company has a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, which creates an environment where employees can succeed and make an impact. What excites me most is that Public Storage is in a significant growth phase. It’s an energizing time to be part of the organization, with opportunities to contribute to meaningful initiatives, take on new challenges, and help shape the future of the business. The company continues to invest in its people, processes, and growth strategy, making it an excellent place for those who are looking to develop professionally while being part of a winning team. If you’re looking for a company with strong leadership, career advancement opportunities, and a clear vision for the future, Public Storage is a fantastic place to be.

Cons

Cons: As Public Storage continues to grow, the pace of the business can be very fast. There are often multiple initiatives, priorities, and opportunities happening simultaneously, which requires strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly. Success in this environment depends on being able to effectively prioritize, manage competing demands, and stay focused on the highest-impact work. While the pace can be challenging at times, it also creates tremendous opportunities for growth, learning, and career development.

Pros

Benefits, ability to move your body if you like a workout.

Cons

Training is terrible, the trainers do not care about your ability to perform. In training we are told to contact the trainers throughout the workday to ask questions and provide guidance for work flow. One of the trainers talks down to me, doesn’t call me back and has openly told me on call “is this an emergency?” I stated no and she hung up. Unprofessional. The other trainer has completed 6 weeks of coaching through our academy and not once called me or in person coached me on anything listed throughout the coaching. Many people have quit in the short time I’ve been here.
