Pros

I do not begrudge my time at Prysm as the role taught me a great deal in a short space of time. This role also bolstered my CV to move on to better roles in better companies, despite only working at Prysm for a short time! The interview process is very easy, if you are in a retail or any role vaguely sales, they will give you a job. The benefit is, you will be able to get interviews for better B2B sales roles after working here. The downside is, you will have no time to attend interviews! I would only recommend Prysm as a stepping stone.

Cons

They sell you the dream, talking about six figure salaries, socials etc. These things are achievable and do happen but at a huge cost. You will not have a life out side of work. I am no stranger to putting in the odd long day, however no where in the interview or my contract did they mention the hours required to work outside of office hours. They coerce you into finding new leads in the evening and on weekends, which is a time consuming process not given time for during office hours. As the old addage goes, sh*t rolls downhill. If the management aren't hitting target for the week, this pressure gets passed on negatively to you. You are told to lie to potential customers about the amount of stands left available to attempt to close business by Friday. This rushes the prospect and dissuades most from doing business with Prysm. Since the role, I have found more suitable and honest employment where we let prospects take a suitable amount of time to decide on the investment. Due to this, I have closed three times as much business in half the time compared to Prysm! There is also an inhumane lack of basic resources. No kitchen/eating area, the only sinks for water are in the small toilets and there is a tiny fridge shared by 30 people. The biggest thing they are lacking however is a Human Resource team! This is a giant red flag I should have heeded. If there was one they would be very busy due to the high staff turnover and internal complaints they would no doubt receive. Paperwork also falls by the wayside here, I got paid thrice but only received one wage slip and still haven't received a P45. Lots of red flags for this 'cowboy' company. It takes a certain type of person to excel here and I respect them for it, however I saw a lot of people leave/lose their jobs in a short space of time. If you can deal with the pressure and long hours then it is a great stepping stone into B2B sales. However, don't believe the hype!

Pros

Very autonomous - You have to be individually motivated. No one is interested in babysitting or holding your hand. They are, however, very interested in each employee's growth, and at a personal level. Awesome Culture - I mean awesome. We are a pack of wolves. First and foremost, a family. "Easy" sales - It is never easy, but what we do makes our clients very happy, so... easy. Killer team - I have been in sales for nearly a decade and I am not kidding when I say there are some of the smartest and most articulate salespeople I have ever surrounded myself with. I have learned A LOT from them. Recruiting - Milen the CEO, and the whole team are absolute rockstars - be confident if you got offered an interview and be confident the company is heading in the right direction. ROOM TO GROW - if you want to make it in the sales world, especially in the realm of event organizing.. there really is no better place.

Cons

It is hard work, don't expect to coast or fake your way through it. Like I said, wolves, it'll get sniffed out fast.
