Pros
- paid on time (that is it) - it's near the metro & the Whitehouse (which makes a lot of sense in Trumps America)
Cons
- micromanaging (& doesn't honestly have a single clue). - management often obsessive & complicate the simplest tasks. -You'll be asked to do everything outside of your job description. - The students aren't being motivated & instead treated like second-rate high-schoolers even though most are in their 20's,30's,40's. - While they (mgmt) may suggest that they're open to change during your interview, they are certainly not & will steer you into doing the very same (wrong & outdated) practices they were doing prior. - maybe its a cultural miscommunication, but the 'President' can be very rude for no reason. During my first week on the job, she (Rahmaty) made it a point to backtrack & let me know that I in fact 'did not know more than she did in anything outside of my job title' after I suggested a change in how things were typically done. ( Which was in fact a lie, I obviously knew PROSPECT college was a sinking business that cons low income individuals of financial aid in exchange for a bottom rate education since day one of clocking in.) She often thinks she knows more than she actually does. - Employees not able to work without asking permission to do simplest tasks. -Mgmt gossips about each employee to other employees. -Mgmt preys on finding low income minorities to pay for their monthly business expenses. - Building feels and looks like a prison. (the one 'motivational' thing in the building is a very poorly written quote in pencil & outlined in highlighter on the stairwell.) - Expect the most for the very least. - Financially stingy (staff paying for craft materials out of pocket). - Everything about it screams SCAM. - They charge students (&staff) to use elevator, knowing most of they economic background.
